Andhra Bank Recruitment 2011 - 2012 for Sportspersons:-

Andhra Bank invites applications from talented Sportspersons for their Men's Team in Cricket & Kabaddi for appointment in Officer / Clerical / Sub-staff Cadre.  Only Indian Citizens are eligible for appointment under this Scheme.

NUMBER OF POSTS:

Cricket:- 9

Kabaddi:- 4


Note: Appointments may be made in Officer / Clerical / Sub-staff Cadre depending upon the suitability of the candidates.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-



Cadre:- Sub-Staff

Age:-  18 - 25

Educational Qualifications:- VIII Standard pass but should not have passed 10+2 examination.

Level of Representation:- 
Should have represented the District in a State level event or should have participated in an All India School event


Cadre:-  Clerk

Age:-  18 - 2

Educational Qualifications:-
X Standard pass

Level of Representation:- Should have represented the State in a National event or the District in a State level event with distinction or his University in an Inter-university event with distinction or should have been a member of the Combined Universities Team


Cadre:- Officer

Age:-  21 - 30

Educational Qualifications:- Graduate

Level of Representation:
- Should have represented the Country or won the Arjuna Award  or  represented the State for atleast  3 continuous years


The Candidates selected will be subject to such terms and conditions as existing in the Bank at the time of appointment.

Posting: Candidates selected will be posted in any of the branches/offices in Hyderabad

SCALE OF PAY:-

Officers:-  Rs. 14500 -600/7 - 18700 - 700/2 - 20100 - 800/7 -25700

Clerks:- Rs. 7200 - 400/3 - 8400 - 500/3 - 9900 - 600/4 - 12300 - 700/7 - 17200 - 1300/1 - 18500 - 800/1 - 19300

Sub-staff:-  Rs. 5850 - 200/4 - 6650 - 250/5 - 7900 - 300/4 - 9100 -  350/3 - 10150 - 400/3 - 11350

General conditions:

a. The selection will be strictly on the basis of merit in terms of the level of participation in the game, qualifications etc.  However, mere satisfying the eligibility norms does not entitle a candidate to be called for the interview. Depending upon the number of applications received, the Bank reserves the right to call only the required number of candidates, after preliminary screening with reference to their qualification, suitability and sports qualification / experience, etc.

b. The short-listed candidates will be called for an interview and the date and time of interview will be intimated through a Call Letter which will be sent to the address provided in the application format.

c. The candidates shall attend the interview at their own cost and will not be paid / reimbursed any traveling allowance, etc.

d. Before applying, the candidate should ensure that he fulfills the eligibility criteria and other norms mentioned in this notification.  Bank would be free to reject any application at any stage of the recruitment process, if the candidate is found ineligible for the post.

e. Candidates serving in Government / Public Sector Undertakings (including Banks) should obtain required permission from the competent authority before submitting their applications.  In case of being called for interview they should produce the Permission letter / No Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of interview, in the absence of which their candidature will not be considered.

f. Decision of the Bank in all matters regarding number of vacancies to be filled, eligibility of the candidate, the stages at which such scrutiny of eligibility is to be undertaken, the documents to be produced at the time of the interview, selection and any other matter relating to recruitment, will be final and binding on the candidate.  No correspondence or personal enquiries shall beentertained by the Bank in this regard.

g. The candidates selected shall play for the Bank for a minimum period of 5 years.

h. Any resultant dispute arising out of the advertisement shall be subject to the sole jurisdiction of the courts situated in Hyderabad.

Application should be submitted only in the prescribed pro-forma, which can be downloaded from our Bank's website - www.andhrabank.in , with all particulars regarding educational qualification and Sports Achievements supported by relevant Certificates and be sent in a separate cover superscribed "RECRUITMENT OF SPORTSPERSONS" to be following address so as to reach on or before 27 th August, 2011.
